Farm Feasts

Our Feasts are large gatherings with everyone mingling in our Courtyard on arrival whilst sampling something tasty from our woodfired kitchen to start the evening.  There are long rows of tables (outside during summer when the weather allows) and guests getting to know each other over hearty plates of seasonal produce while listening to a live folk musician in the background.

The set menu is different each time but you can expect bread and 3 courses featuring the best seasonal, local ingredients and organic beef or lamb from our farm.

  • Our Feasts nights are a communal dining event, where guests mingle and interact with others over dinner at the table.
  • There is one sitting for dinner. Guests arrive from 6pm and take their seats for dinner at 7pm.
  • Seating will be allocated and bookings will be sat together – so please let us know if there is someone you’d like to sit with but have booked separately.
  • Bookings for up to 12 guests can be made online. We may be able to accommodate larger groups, please contact us to make a booking.
  • Our Feasts are tailored towards adults or children aged 12 years or over and a full price ticket is required for each seat. Our Farm Suppers, Sunday lunches or Courtyard lunches are more suitable for families.

Sunday Lunches

In the colder months, a proper Roast dinner is, for many of us, hard to beat and we believe it’s one of the best meals to share with family and friends. Between September and April, our Oak Barn welcomes you with well-spaced tables, roaring wood burner and live music set against a pretty backdrop of our Millpond.

Expect all your favorites plus of course, our home-reared organic meat (beef or lamb, one option served). We always provide a vegetarian option (please notify us in advance) and serve a selection of drinks from our bar to accompany your meal.

In the summer months, May to August, we open our farm on Sunday’s for a lighter take on lunch – still showcasing our home-reared produce but also the best of what the season has to offer from our salad and veg gardens. Plus there’s time to take a stroll around the farm before or after your lunch.

  • Choose from three sittings for lunch – 12.30pm, 3pm or 5.30pm. You’ll have your own table for 2 hours.
  • A set menu of 2 courses (main and dessert) plus a bread course during summer months only.
  • The maximum capacity per table is 8 guests and groups up to this size can be booked online. We may be able to accommodate larger groups, please contact us to make a booking.
  • Children are very welcome, please purchase a ticket for any child that requires food. It would also be useful to add to your booking notes, the total number of children attending and if a highchair is required.

Farm Suppers

FAQs

Do you cater for vegetarian or vegan diets or guests with allergies?

Yes – we always plan a vegetarian/vegan alternative for our menus and aim to cater for the main allergen groups. However we ask that you let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements before your visit.

Please be advised that our kitchen handles ingredients containing the main fourteen allergens and therefore we can not eliminate the risk of cross contamination.

What will we be eating?

Each menu is bespoke and confirmed 1-2 weeks before the event to make the most of seasonal produce and what’s available from the farm. Therefore when making a booking, guests will not know exactly what they will be eating but we’ll aim to give a good description of what to expect. We are an organic beef and lamb farm so the main course will (the vast majority of the time) feature one of these meats. We will always provide a vegetarian option but again, we won’t be able to confirm this until closer to the time – it will most likely feature veg from our fields and gardens.

How do I use a Gift Voucher I’ve been given?

You can book online and apply the code during the payment section. If the booking doesn’t use the whole value of the voucher, you’ll be able to use it again towards another visit for to redeem the remaining amount. Vouchers can be applied to bookings and via our online shop, unfortunately vouchers can’t be used on the day to purchase drinks.

Is there a service charge applied to my bill?

Yes, for most events where we offer table service we’ll add a discretionary 10% service charge (based on your ticket price) to your bill at the end of the evening or at the end of your stay. This is split equally amongst the team working on the night and can be removed if you’d prefer to pay an alternative amount or not at all.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Sorry, no – we are a licensed venue and will serve drinks from our bar during your visit. We accept card or contactless payments only please. BYO is not permitted in the accommodation or restaurant.

Do you cater for children?

Children are very welcome at our Courtyard lunches, Sunday Lunches and Farm Suppers. If they require a meal (same set menu as the adults) please purchase a ticket (half price for Sunday lunches), if they are under 3 years old and don’t require a meal, you don’t need to purchase a ticket but it would be useful to let us know they are attending so we can arrange space at the table, an extra seat or a highchair.

Our Feasts are tailored towards adults or children aged 12 years or over and a full price ticket is required for each seat.

Do you allow dogs?

Unfortunately we don’t allow dogs on the farm, in our restaurant or in our accommodation, except for certified assistance dogs.

Can do allow camping or staying overnight in a campervan?

Sorry, no – but we do allow cars to be left overnight and collected the next morning.

What information will I receive about my booking?

Once you’ve booked online, you’ll receive a confirmation via email and text. Within your confirmation email will be details of how to manage your booking. Further information regarding your visit will be sent via email prior to your arrival, however if you have any questions, please contact us via hello@nancarrowfarm.co.uk or call 01872 487099.

What’s the dress code?

It’s a relaxed setting so ‘smart/casual’ – you may spend time outdoors so we suggest suitable clothing for the time of year (layers) and decent footwear (especially if you’d like to take a walk around the site or farm during your visit).

What’s access like around the site & farm?

There are a variety of surfaces around the farm (gravel, grass, steps, hardcore, woodchip) so care should be taken when walking around. We do have step free access to the restaurant and a disabled toilet. It would be useful to know in advance if guests have any mobility requirements so we can ensure these are catered for.

Do you offer twin rooms or single occupancy?

Yes – please contact us to book.
