A Day at Nancarrow
Immerse yourself and learn new skills on our organic farm
Throughout the seasons, we invite guests behind the scenes for exclusive workshops and dining experiences on the Farm. During your ‘day at Nancarrow’, you’ll learn practical skills alongside in-depth but informal lessons from our team and talented local makers on their specialist subject. You can hear all about the regenerative journey from pasture to plate in our butchery, or what can be found in the abundant hedgerows around the farm on our foraging walks. There are plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with pasta making, soap making, wood turning, wool felting and printmaking on offer this autumn. On all of our experience days, our guests will be welcome with coffee and pastries, as well as getting to enjoy a hearty homegrown lunch from our farm kitchen.
Workshops are limited to a small number of guests per event and will be based in the Old Mill, Lambing Shed, or around our outdoor wood-fired Kitchen. On selected dates we will also have the option for you to upgrade to Supper or even Dinner, Bed and Breakfast if you’d like to stay a little longer.
If you’re thinking about purchasing a Day at Nancarrow as a gift, much like our other vouchers you can choose a screen-printed card and envelope, which will be sent via first-class post. Voucher available to purchase here.
Autumn 2026:
A workshop that takes you deep into the heart of sustainable, nose-to-tail farming and cooking. Starting with a guided tour of the farm, you’ll then head to the butchery for an in-depth look at how our chefs break down a quarter of a bullock. This is followed by a session learning the fundamentals of wood-fired cooking, followed by lunch showcasing the different cuts demonstrated during the earlier butchery session. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast available on September 17th.
Spend the morning with Anton from the Raw Wool Company exploring the traditional uses of British wool, including wet felting to make your own beautiful and practical felted soap bar to take home. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast available.
In this half-day session you’ll be guided by local woodturners Dave Chamberlain and Lawrence Moody in making multiple creations, using wood harvested from the Farm.
Local artist Suzy Sharpe will lead you in exploring the beautiful art of botanical monoprinting. Using seasonal botanicals gathered from the Farm, you’ll learn how to create unique prints as well as a printed tote or tea towel to take home.
Join Emma from Hog & Tallow for a half-day workshop celebrating traditional soap making and natural skincare inspired by the land. You’ll get to make your own soap to take home using Nancarrow grass-fed tallow and dried botanicals from our gardens. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast available.
Fancy spending a day getting hands-on with pasta here on the Farm? In this full-day experience, you’ll learn to make dough from scratch and master a range of pasta shapes as well as the best fillings and sauces using seasonal ingredients collected from our Kitchen Gardens.
