Spring Gathering Line Up
(For Children & Families…)

By day we’ll be transforming the farm with craft stalls and demonstrations, wild walks and children’s trails, street food from the courtyard kitchen, live music and lots more, so bring the family and spend a day on the farm! We’ve got a great line up for children and grown ups alike (click here for the grown up’s line up!)

Kids’ Crafts

There will be an opportunity to gets hands on too with slate drawing, clay modelling and bunting making with Lucy.

Meet the Animals

Have a wander to see the cows, pigs and sheep, and help us feed the tame lambs morning and afternoon. Always a hit – arrive early to avoid disappointment!

Children’s Trails

Explore the orchard, woods, kitchen garden and courtyard with our I-spy trail finding some hidden hedgehogs along the way.

Cousin Jack’s Shallal-igans

We’re thrilled to be able to have Cousin Jack’s back on the farm and returning with their fantastic Shallal-igans workshop. This workshop gives children and their families the chance to learn ancient Cornish songs (some spoken in Cornish) before heading out around the farm in full procession! Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!

Cornish Food Box

Our good friends Tor and Lucy will be joining us for the weekend, bringing traditional family games, veg-themed activities and foodie ideas to our Rusty Barn. Their fantastic business supports Cornish farmers and delivers fresh produce direct to your door – making it so simple to buy local. If you have big kids (or are one yourself) these are the guys who bring the fun factor to the Spring Gathering!

Prickles and Paws

Prickles and Paws are a registered charity, based in Newquay, dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of hedgehogs and other British wildlife. They aim to relieve the suffering of sick, injured, orphaned or otherwise distressed hedgehogs and give them the best chance of survival on release back to the wild. We hope the farm can be a safe release point in the future but for now, the Prickles and Paws team will be attending our Spring Gathering to raise awareness, collect donations and running some prickly themed activities for children.

Clara is a family run business based in Cornwall, they make and sell beautiful handmade children’s clothing and accessories in natural sustainable fabrics such as pure linen and cotton. Alison’s daughter, Charlotte and son-in-law James, were married at Nancarrow during our first year and we’re delighted to be able to welcome them back to the farm with a stall at the Spring Gathering on Saturday.
