We had an incredible line-up of guests join us for 1000 Mouths and we are so grateful to them for all their hard work in creating delicious feasts for our guests.

Over the 4 nights, we had 12 feasts each showcasing a different cut from our 30 month old organic bullock.

Thursday – opening night – we were joined by 3 of the biggest stars from Hugh FW’s River Cottage, which played such a crucial role in inspiring Lucy and Steve to head west on their own adventure at Nancarrow. Jack’s former mentor Andy Appleton, who’s receiving plaudits for his venture ‘Appletons at the Vineyard‘ also joined us, with Beautiful & the Feast teaming up with the Nancarrow chefs for a dream collaboration.

Gill Meller returned to the farm on the Friday night showcasing some of the dishes from his first solo cookbook ‘Gather’ which launched last year to worldwide acclaim. London’s Doug ‘Dougy chef’ Robertson joined Darren and the Nancarrow team with something wild, and talking of wild… the amazing Wild Wine Club brought their supper club experience to the farm with the help of award winning Emily Scott.

We were delighted to welcome the Fifteen team, lead by Head Chef Adam Banks on Saturday night. Darren and the Nancarrow team cooked Francis Mallman inspired hanging ribs of beef, meanwhile the incredible Ben Tish put on a European wood-fired inspired feast, a style which has made his books a ‘must have’ for all live fire chefs.

We wrapped up 1000 Mouths on the Sunday with a couple of chefs who run 2 of London’s most highly regarded restaurants. James Knappett brought his Michelin Starred Kitchen Table experience for a one-off 8 course tasting menu in the Old Mill, whilst Phillip Branch of Hawksmoor joined Nancarrow for a wood-fired finale!

As well as our guest chefs, we welcomed local craftsmen such as Tom Kemp, had delightful music from Tom Dale, Dalla and Sandy Acre 7 and tasted new drinks by local producers Tinkture and Stuart Woodman’s Wild Ales.

Thank you to everyone who came and to all that were involved!
